Mill Creek Preserve
Marietta, Georgia
Mill Creek Preserve is a true gem despite the extremely challenging land conditions. The site was a leftover half developed parcel from the 2008 recession. A 100' wide Georgia Power easement divided the most critical part of the neighborhood separating the entry to the home locations. With clever design by directing the eye past the looming electrical towers, into the forested area, and opening onto a ecologically restored retention pond and park, the community became a success.
CWA designed the entrance, arrival experience, park including trail system around the community pond, restored the preserved forested area, and mail kiosk. We also worked with both Georgia Power and Cobb DOT to ensure compliance.
