arnold palmer park

State College, Pennsylvania

Built for the residents of The Village at Penn State, a retirement community, Palmer Park provides an inviting multi-use space to connect back with nature. The Arnold Palmer Design Group was commissioned to design the feature putting green while CWA teamed up with landscape architect Gregg Hudspeth to design the park including walking paths, fountains, village green, and creamery terrace.

CWA collaborated on the design and layout, and provided full construction documents including hardscape details, fine grading, planting plan and construction administration.

Mill Creek Preserve

Marietta, Georgia

Mill Creek Preserve is a true gem despite the extremely challenging land conditions. The site was a leftover half developed parcel from the 2008 recession. A 100' wide Georgia Power easement divided the most critical part of the neighborhood separating the entry to the home locations. With clever design by directing the eye past the looming electrical towers, into the forested area, and opening onto a ecologically restored retention pond and park, the community became a success.

CWA designed the entrance, arrival experience, park including trail system around the community pond, restored the preserved forested area, and mail kiosk. We also worked with both Georgia Power and Cobb DOT to ensure compliance.

everton

Peachtree City, Georgia

Everton is a large master planned community in golf cart designed Peachtree City. With the ever growing need to house relocated families of the film industry as well as the need to get back to nature, parks have become important components of communities.

CWA designed 5 parks within Everton including The Great Lawn which consist of 6 par frisbee golf, a hammock nest where you BYO portable hammock, play structure including swings, amphitheater for community gatherings, and passive open lawn for flexible play.
